Triphala is an ancient Ayurvedic formula that deeply cleanses the body of toxins and boosts the immune system's protective functions.
"Triphala" translates as "three fruits" because it contains amla, haritaki, and bibhitaki. Triphala is widely used in Ayurvedic practice for the treatment and prevention of various diseases across different age groups.
The preparation acts on all types of human tissues and balances all three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, bringing all organ systems to an optimal state of functioning. Thanks to this effect, a person's well-being significantly improves. Regardless of age, they start experiencing fewer illnesses and gastrointestinal disorders, improved skin condition, relief from joint pains, faster healing of various body injuries - wounds and bruises, increased activity, and enhanced productivity.
As a result of the gentle and gradual release of the body from ama (toxins and wastes), triphala tones the body tissues, enhances metabolic processes' efficiency. After cleansing the large and small intestines, as well as the liver and gallbladder, spleen, and pancreas, all gastrointestinal functions normalize. Enzyme production increases, breaking down complex products into simpler ones, improving the absorption of nutrients from food, allowing the body to receive more essential nutrients and vitamins for its proper functioning.
When using this remarkable remedy, the body stops suffering from chronic constipation, as it softens fecal masses, facilitating the cleansing process of the intestines. Additionally, it eliminates many gastrointestinal pathogens. Acting as an enterosorbent, the preparation normalizes lipid metabolism and helps control appetite by better digesting food, making it indispensable in combating excess weight.
Aside from all the mentioned benefits, the preparation is a source of vitamins, especially vitamin C, and is used as a dietary supplement. Triphala nourishes the mind and body, helping cleanse the aura, develop mental abilities, and balance the chakras on a deeper level.
The ancient Indian sacred text Charaka Samhita speaks of Triphala as follows: "One who takes Triphala for a year will be free from all diseases and live up to a hundred years!"
