Triphala, 100 tablets, Nagarjuna - cleansing and rejuvenation
Triphala (also pronounced as Triphala) is a unique Ayurvedic formula for comprehensive treatment and cleansing of the body. This medicinal preparation has been known in India for over two thousand years and is one of the most popular Ayurvedic rasayanas.
The word "triphala" literally translates to "three fruits" ("tri" means three, "phala" – fruits). These three fruits are haritaki, amalaki, and bibhitaki.
Triphala is an Ayurvedic "panacea". Triphala can be used for washing hair or body, as a laxative, mild detoxifier, emetic, or for enemas. Its decoction can also be used for nasal and aural drops or for gargling. Triphala cleanses the tissues of toxins and returns the doshas that have left their usual places of residence - the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. Triphala is harmless, but if the body is heavily burdened with toxins, a too large dose can cause a strong reaction because Triphala moves accumulated toxins faster than a weakened body can process them. Therefore, in case of discomfort or pain during the intake of Triphala, the dose should be halved for one to two weeks.
In case of severe cold accompanied by high fever, it is necessary to take two parts of Triphala powder and one part of turmeric, mix them and consume this mixture with one teaspoon twice a day 15-20 minutes before meals. A mixture of Triphala, sandalwood, and turmeric in a ratio of 2/1/1 is excellent for skin problems (both internally and externally), even for eczema and psoriasis.
Triphala is widely used as a standalone medicinal preparation, especially in the treatment of blood diseases, intestinal disorders, insomnia, and nervous exhaustion.
Triphala is also used externally for washing ulcers, purulent eyes, ears, etc. To improve skin texture and cleanse it, masks with Triphala can be made. In case of cold-related illnesses, Triphala is beneficial when taken together with Sitopaladi Churna. For gynecological diseases, it is used with Amalaki Rasayana and Chyawanprash, for injuries it is used together with Shilajit, Mumio. Taking Triphala together with Chyawanprash or Brahmi Rasayana is necessary for students during exam periods, scientists, and individuals engaged in mental work.
Triphala can be used as a special eye medicine in combination with ghee; this preparation is also useful for infections and as a general tonic. Triphala can be used for eye washes. In cases of inflammatory conditions, a cold infusion of Triphala is instilled into the eyes with a dropper. Triphala with ghee, or Triphala Grita, together with 2-4 tablets of Saptamrit Lauh is an excellent remedy for the treatment and prevention of various eye diseases.
