Brinraj / Eclipta Alba Powder 100% - leaf extract. Latin name "Eclipta Alba".

Eclipta Alba grows in India, China, Thailand, and Brazil. Eclipta Alba can be used internally and externally in the form of a paste, as it is the best remedy for hair health in Ayurveda.

Application:

Internally: 1/2 teaspoon 1-2 times a day with warm water and ghee (clarified butter) or brew 1-2 teaspoons of powder with boiling water, let it cool to room temperature, strain and take.

Externally: for skin diseases: make a paste by mixing the powder with water and apply to affected areas for 15 minutes.

As a hair care mask: prepare a paste by mixing the powder with water, apply to the scalp and hair and leave on for about 30 minutes. If left on longer, Brinraj may slightly color the hair and give it a light chestnut shade, but this color washes out after some time. After using such a mask, the hair becomes voluminous, beautiful, and healthy.

Another hair mask recipe: take 1 tablespoon each of Brinraj, Amla, Brahmi, and Shikakai, pour boiling water, mix, let it infuse for 15 minutes, apply to hair, put on a plastic cap, wrap, leave on for 30-60 minutes, then rinse with water.

Brinraj (Eclipta alba, eclipta prostrata, eclipta erecta (Latin), kesharaja, bhringraja, bhangra, white bhangra, karisalankanni (India)) - creeping plant with a well-developed root, yellowish, cylindrical in shape. The stem is short, the leaves are pointed, pico-like. White flowers resembling chamomile flowers, hence the name "false chamomile". There are two more types of Brinraj, with yellow and blue flowers. They are called "blue Brinraj" and "yellow Brinraj" (widelia calendulacea, yellow bhangra), but in Ayurveda, white Brinraj is mainly used.

The word "Brinraj" literally translates as "king of bees". In India, it is also called the "king of hair".

Brinraj extract contains the alkaloid ecliptine. The leaves contain a large amount of proteins. The main components of Brinraj are cumistans: vedololactone, demethylvedelolactone, desmethyl-vedelolactone-7-glucoside, polypeptide, polyacetylene, triofin derivatives, steroids, flavonoids, tannins, beta-carotene, saponins, nicotine, ecliptal, luteolin-7-O-glucoside, hentriacontanol, heptacosanol, stigmasterol, amyrin. Cumistans have antibacterial and estrogenic activity and are used in the treatment of hepatitis and hemorrhoids.
